Just want to vent some anger. Insert expletitives here.

RIP, my Mes survivor. 4 levels (and this weekend of caps) away from Legendary. There goes all of the hard work, yes hard work, of raising it since factions came out. Made it to Droks and Vasburg.

Thought I could actually finish it up and start doing more, alas all for naught. No time to remake and gain all of the exp and skill points needed before this weekend comes up. Think I'll stop playing GW for a while since this was the main thing I was doing. Guess I shouldn't have even tried to get the title on my own. At least I didn't get the expensive armor first.

Hey, there are risks to that title, but it gives a 'great' reward. It'll either make you or break you. Good luck with your gaming though =/

You are not alone, Lord Aro. My first, and third, attempts at this title were brought to an end by death-by-lag(150 hours). 2nd, and 4th, because I was rushing and pissed off because I died from things beyond my control on my previous attempts. My fifth attempt, however, succeded(50 hours). After my first character attempt, I quit playing GW for around a week, I even uninstalled it, so I very much understand where you are coming from.

at least your not like me with my assasin, I was doing the cup of chalice quest while she was level 19, and only a few exp away from lvling - i hit level 20 and earned my suvivor title right before her first death

I didn't delete her although i would have liked to have gotten a higher title. Maybe with nightfall.

What's bad.. my math was wrong. I didn't need more skill points. I would have had tier 3 over the weekend.

Things I've learned:
Don't pug. Or use a build that lets you stay back out of harm. Or Leech like others do.
Don't hench. They are too stupid to do many missions. Until Nightfall gives us better control that is.
Be aware of your surroundings.
Watch aggro.
Look out for idiots and jerks.
F12 + Enter is your friend.

So yeah, don't play the game normally if you want Legendary Survivor. I won't be anymore.

My first and only attempt was brought down after the first tier by Kenshi Steelhand. It was my Ranger, and although I was doing fine, the rest of my team (comprised of my wife and henchies) weren't. I thought I had enough room to escape if things got too bad, but turns out as soon as my wife was killed (two hits, -bam-, she's an ele), Kenshi happened to shadow step to me and it was game. They don't call them Assassins for nothing!

I'm not a fan of just quitting before I die. To me, it's cheating to the title, and I want to earn all my titles legitimately. At least I know I got to the first tier without cheats or exploits. I guess you're right, Aro, you pretty much have to 'grind carefully' to get tier 3.

I want to know, has anyone made tier 3 by just playing the game normally - as in doing quests and missions, with the occasional skill cap, and maybe hunting for collectible drops? That's a story I want to hear!

That's what I was doing. And well, it failed. The only thing I did do a little different was help people farm though I had obtained over 300k exp at that point. I was surprised I got as far as I did. Double capping weekend would have been the end point. Burnt a lot of scrolls during missions.

Many of the missions are anti-survivor due to cutscenes, people not skipping them (any degen stays and monsters can still kill you). And as you said, some of those bosses have crazy DPS. Also the henchies just aren't too great. Raisu palace + bunching up = hilarity.

The only easy way to get survivor is to get a droks run and farm trolls all day with super scrolls ^^ of course there is NO way to guarentee survivor title as playing through normally WILL result in accidents. And btw not even F12+Enter can save you from a bad team or some of those canthan bosses and their double damage. Anyway I dont have survival myself but I'm fine with skill capper and Wisdom
